Easy, Thoughtful Holiday Gift Ideas
The holiday season is finally here and I am so excited! It’s one of my favorite times of the year—eating delicious food, spending time with my friends and family, and of course, buying presents for everyone I love. But I know how hard and stressful holiday shopping can be. With that in mind, I’ve put together a holiday gift guide to help you pick out the perfect gifts for your loved ones.
1. For the Fitness Lover
People always ask me what my fitness gear staples are, especially for travel or at-home workouts and I always have the same answer: resistance bands, a mini exercise ball, and a yoga mat. Truthfully, you don’t need big complicated fitness equipment to work out on the go! But having resistance bands, a mini exercise ball, and a yoga mat will allow you to do majority of the exercises that you need to stay fit!
I also get asked about fitness clothes. Where do I get mine? How do I tell if the quality is good? Which brands do I like the most? I really think that if you buy cute workout clothes, you’ll be more motivated to work out! So even when I feel lazy—we all have those days, right?—I tell myself to just change into my workout clothes. Once they’re on, I immediately feel more motivated to squeeze in a quick workout! I love brands like Vie Activewear, ALO Yoga, L’urv and CandMProject (started by my one of my dear friends)—they have the cutest choices for activewear! Here are some of my favorites:
2. For Personalized Gifts
I love giving personalized gifts—my favorite go-to website for personalized gifts is GiGi New York—I love them! If your dad is on the hunt for a new wallet, get one that has his initials printed on it or get a personalized luggage tag for your friend that’s going on a trip soon—it’ll seem much more thoughtful!
In fact, Robert and I gifted everyone in our wedding party with a personalized clutch (for the ladies) and a luggage tag and a passport holder (for the boys). The personalization is very classy and elegant, with gold, silver, or blind embossing options. The quality is remarkable and everyone loved their personalized gifts!
3. For Your Significant Other
It’s always so hard to think of the perfect gift for your partner or significant other, right? Personally, I’d much rather give the gift of an experience that we can both enjoy together. This past Valentine’s Day, I gifted Robert with a polo lesson! He loves to be active and try new things, and we both had a blast! Pay attention to your significant other’s hobbies/interests and temperament and try to find an experience that compliments all of those things. Take dance lessons, go on a horse ride, or take surf lessons if you’re near the water—it’ll give you the chance to spend some time together and you’ll walk away with a great memory!
4. For Your Mother or Sister
I love spending time with my Mum, so I always gift her with a spa day or a massage. Since I’m always running around, it’s a nice treat for me too! I get to spend some time with my Mum and catch up with each other before we have to zip back to our own lives. This is such a great gift for your sister or friends too—it’s the perfect way to destress!
Holiday gifts don’t have to be expensive. I always see people spending hundreds of dollars on gifts because they think that’s the expectation! But you know what, we all just want to be thought of, appreciated and cared for. There’s truth in the saying, it’s the thought that counts!
Happy Holidays XO,
