15 Second Dance Lesson: New Yorker

Sep 29th, 2015

Sharing my love of dance with the world through Dancing with the Stars has brought me so much happiness, that I thought it would be great to teach my fans just like I teach the celebrities! In preparation for my new fitness DVD coming soon, 5678 Fitness, I put together a series of 15-second footwork lessons of some basic dances that we cover on DWTS and in the DVD.

Today’s lesson – the New Yorker! The New Yorker is a dance step popularized in (you guessed it!) New York. You can use it in many dances like the cha cha and the salsa. This step can be done with a partner (partner mirrors your steps) or alone.

Keep it on loop, practice anywhere you can, and stay tuned for more!
